Tasting Success Chef's Mentoring Program
Tasting Success is a women chefs’ mentoring program introduced to increase the likelihood that participants will complete their apprenticeship and embark on a
hospitality career that brings them to senior leadership positions in the hospitality industry.
The program will include 35 hours of mentoring with a leading chef over an 8 month period to complement the student’s course work and apprenticeship experience.
Courses covered by mentoring:
- Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery-Trade)
- Certificate III Hospitality (nontrade).

Selection criteria
- Applicants must be women.
- Registered 2nd or 3rd year apprentices enrolled in Certificate III Hospitality (Commercial Cookery – Trade) or Certificate III Hospitality (non Trade) at TAFE NSW – Sydney Institute.
- Currently achieving a credit average or better; and showing leadership potential.
- Committed to completing the Program activities, including attending a selection interview and participation in all sessions (unless given prior exemption from TAFE).
- Enthusiastic, with potential to contribute to the hospitality industry.
- Committed to contributing to the Program by assisting future students, including sharing their experience of the Program.
- Experiencing or have experienced one or more disadvantages that may affect their entry and/or progress within the industry.
- An Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
